Totally Tilda Challenge 37: White on White

Nothing says white more than a Wedding Card, so I've used the Totally Tilda Challenge 37: White on White as a chance to create my good friends Wedding Card that I need for the weekend.

I have used Sitting Wedding Tilda and Edwin from the Wedding collection, coloured only the skin and hair, and added seom crystal (white sparkle) gliztee glitter glue to the outfits.  I have also a Spellbinders die for the background with a dollie from Kaisercraft.  The lace is also Kaisercraft.  The tag is Stampin Up!. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The die cuts are Dohickies :)

I really love how this card has come out and would like to thank the ladies at Totally Tilda Challenge Blog for coming up with this great challenge.  I would never think to do a card in all one colour, and I found it difficult not to add a hint of silver etc.

Finally Finished!!!

I have now finished my studies :) (Graduate Diploma of Education, Early Childhood Studies) yay!!! So I have more time to craft, which is great.
Mum asked me to make her a card for her friends birthday, so thought I'd take the opportunity to ink up 2 of the magies I bought recently but havent had time to use yet :) I love these two stamps together :)

It is my first time making this type of 3D card, and I really like how it turned out.  All the papers are from Kaisercraft :) Love their Vintage Timeless collection :)

Ladybugs galore :D

This card is definatly my favourite! I think my skills are improving and evolving from when I first started making cards :)
Today I have made a triangle shaped card that opens out to have Tilda with a ladybug. I thought it was perfect for the Totally Tilda Challenge Blog's: Challenge #24 Tilda in Red, White and Blue, so I am entering it in this challenge. I am also entering this card in the Magnolia Stamp Lovers: MSL anything goes challenge and the TOMIC: Grand opening challenge: make a birthday project!

So here are some pics of my ladybug card:

Happy Birthday

I have made another card 2day. I wanted to make a card that would be for a couple, as my friend and her fiance are both celebrating their birthdays 2moro, and rather than make 2 cards, I thought I'd challenge myself to make one that catered to female and male taste. I know it has flowers but I can't help using flowers :)
I am also entering this card in the Just Magnolia #110 special monthly challenge.
I hope you like it :D

Day to myself :D

Hi all,

I have a day to myself finally where I dont need to be studying for exams. All finished, yay! Only 4 weeks of prac to go for the semester :)
Today I decided to make a card for the Magnolia Down Under Challenges #99. I love this challenge. It is to make a project with the colours purple, peach and cream :) So I decided to get to one of my new Magnolia stamps, I think she is so cute :).  I coloured her with copic markers and used a white gell pen for the highlights on her cheeks. I also thought I'd work on developing my rolled roses, I think they are coming along nicely.  I used Kaisercraft paper for the background, and I used my scissors to create a frayed edge.  Hope you like the card, I think I will be giving it to my friend for her birthday 2moro.

Thanks for looking :D, have a great day xox

Trying out some new techniques :)

So... yes I am procrastinating :) Studying is driving me nuts lol. So I decided to make a card for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog: Challenge 98 which was a sketch by Kylie.

My card using sweet tilda and a background stamp from the new collection

Using copic markers to colour ribbon, such an awesome effect it creates!

Spiral flowers, my first attempt :)

Inspired :)

I went to a friend's wedding on the weekend and at te reception were these awesome decorations. I found out her Aunty had made them, so I went in search of a pattern online.
They are tissue paper pom poms. They are so easy to make and look so affective.  I found the pattern and intructions on the Matha Stewart Website -an awesome site by the way!
I made a smaller version of the pom poms because I didnt have enough tissue paper.
Here is the one I made:

The photo quality is not so great because its from my phone.
Here is the pic of the table display from the Martha Stewart website:

Hope you like them :) I LOVE martha stewart :), oh if your interested her tv show is on channel seven2 at 7:25am weekdays
Happy crafting :)

Sweet as Candy!

I bought some second hand Stampin Up! stamps last week and when they arrived I wanted to try a sweet treat card, however I couldnt get the sweet treat cups. I decided to improvise and went in search of circluar packaging at the shops. What I did find is probably to big, but at least the recipient of the card will get more lollies :)
I mad this card for our friends daughter who turned 1 on the weekend. She has a 'high chair tea' at the Duxton, which was very fancy.  I was happy with the card I made as it fit into her theme so nicely. She had lolly jars gallore at the party.
Here are the pics of the card I made:

I hope to puchase some of the proper sweet treat cups soon, so im sure I will be making even better gum ball machine cards in the future. But for now I must get back to studying :( as I start exams in less than a weeks time :(

Its been too long!!!

So it's been way too long between posts! But I am still here! I have been very busy with Uni, doing my Dip Ed in early childhood. Its one of the most rewarding things I've done, however I very much miss my card making! So I have decided to keep my sanity to keep making cards, at least one a week!
I was also given a Stampin Up! catalogue from a friend, which got my inspired again!
So here is the thankyou card I made for her using my Magnolia stamps, and doo hickey dies :), and my copics of course!

I think this easel card is the best I've made yet! I am so happy with it :)
Up close of my Magnolia image. I have now had loads of practice with colouring Tilda's hair and I think Im finally happy with how I'm colouring :)

Hope to post again soon :)

Thanks for looking :)

Special Easter Challenge

I have made this card tonight for Totally Tilda Challenge Blog's Easter Challenge. I really love the way it turned out. The card had to include bunny tilda and 1 or more easter eggs. I decided to make the card into egg shapes and have tilda sitting on the eggs. I coloured my tilda with copics and also used the copics to highlight both eggs. Adding some flower and leaf embellishments to the corner makes the eggs look as they are in grass. Hope you like it as much as I do :)
